Does anyone know how to remove double-sided sticky tape from a painted wall?

Used the tape to stick things to the wall, but now can't remove it from the wall. My lease is up and i need to get it off the wall or my deposit will not be repaid. Any ideas much appreciated but would prefer tried and tested methods, and preferably ones which won't take the paint off or mark the walls.Does anyone know how to remove double-sided sticky tape from a painted wall?
At art supply stores there is a product called Bestine, it is a rubber cement solvent. It's also great to remove stickers.Does anyone know how to remove double-sided sticky tape from a painted wall?
rubbing alcohol is mild to remove adhesive without affecting the paint.
blow over it with the hair dryer, it works as I have had to do the same thing many a time
This ones an easy one, though I found out AFTER I spend a ton on every chemical, cleaner, gunk remover known to man...Steam it!

I borrowed a friends hand steamer, got right up against wall with it and it actually fell off the wall within a minute!

You can't beat it...
