Dont take it to maaco!!!! If your going to paint it yourself go and buy Dupont paint. I don't know what size car your planning on painting but if you buy a gallon of paint and a gallon of clear. take it anywhere other than maaco. if you are trying to do this yourself for the first time forget black, or go have a shop do it . there is a lot more involved tring to do it yourself than you can imagine, you could easily do more damage trying this . my advice on paint is to leave it to the pros. if you want to buy the paint for a shop to do it see yor local paint supply shop they will get you exactly what you need for the jobIm going to paint my car i want a nice gloss black what do i need to get ,how much of it.?
If you have to ask these questions, then you are not ready to paint your own car. Black is the most difficult color to do well, and takes enormous amounts of preparation and detail work, because even the smallest imperfection in the final finish will show up like a beacon.





If you want to have a black car, find a really good professional painter and talk to him about getting your car done.
