Moving aside artistic talent, how long does something like this take to make from start to finish? I know this would probably vary wildly between artists due to skill, but I'm just looking for an approximation assuming a fairly competent artist. 10 hours? 40 hours? 200 hours? etcHow long does a painting like this take to make?

I would say, depending on what you are working on Oils (which are actually one of the easiest media out there) or something like Photoshop (which is good but surprisingy not that easy) it should take about two weeks to a month. Take as long as you have to do a detailed study in pencil, then move that by copying or tracing to the surface you will do the finished work on and do it. But for the actual painging I would say roughly two weeks, if you know what you are doing.
thats a painting? considering if u make lots of mistakes which u will itll take days, if not weeks on end
