When i paint on a rock, the paint starts to peel after left outside for 2 days, how can i avoid this?

You can use a brush on polycrylic or a clear spray. Both are available at walmart. I have done this and my rocks have been outside for almost 5 years. When i paint on a rock, the paint starts to peel after left outside for 2 days, how can i avoid this?

A. wash the surface before painting and allow it to dry.

B. Apply a latex primer on rock or masonry surfaces before you apply the finish. This will help with bonding.

C. I hope this isn't grafitti you're asking about.
Paint on canvas.
did you was the rock? are u using acrylic paint? if no what kind are you useing?
put a coat of polyurethane on it when you are done.
Put on a primer, then paint it, then put on a lacquer top coat? That's what I would try.
use primer first then paint with a satin or semi-gloss finish which are water resistent
