I have Paint shop pro and all i did is switch the measurements from pixels to inches and typed in 8 by 11 then i switched it back to pixels and it said 8000X11000 just try what i did to get the exact pixels for your computerHow many pixels are equal to a peice of paper (8x11) on paint shop pro?

But in short, it depends on your DPI (Dots per Inch) or PPI (Point per Inch).





300 ppi - 2400x3300. (300*8 x 300*11)


400 ppi - 3200x4400
Resolution is dependent on a couple of factors, physical size and DPI (Dots Per Inch).





If you want to print your picture at magazine resolution, your DPI is 300 (industry standard), and since you have 8x11'; that gives you 2400x3300 pixels.





You could also boost your DPI, but there's no point in making it higher than the resolution of the device (ie.printer) you'll be reproducing it on.
