How long does it take for watercolor paints to dry up?

Watercolor paint on paper (a painting) depending on the wetness of the paper and the ambient humidity can dry in minutes or hours. While painting at the Grand Canyon, my paints and paper dried so quickly, it was difficult for me to paint the way I was used to. Sometimes I will use a hair dryer in the studio to hasten the process.

Watercolors in the tube, if kept closed will stay soft for years, if on the palette they will dry within a day, but can be re-activated over and over with water. Some artist quality watercolor brands are made with honey and never completely dry into a hard cake on the palette. How long does it take for watercolor paints to dry up?
I am not to sure if you mean dry up on paper on the paint itself to dry up. If you meant on paper it would depend on the thickness of the paper but about 10 minutes or if you used a hair dryer about two minutes, if you meant the paint on a palette or pan or tube the first two it would not matter to much add water and you are of again the tube best to keep the cap on or you will ruin it. can still be used but not very goodHow long does it take for watercolor paints to dry up?
depends on if it is in the tube or out of the tube. If its out of the tube a couple of hours, though if they're good quality sometimes water can revive them. My tube watercolours survived for about a year and a bit before they dried up in the tubes but they weren't very good quality.
I would let it sit over night, just to make sure it would be dry, it wouldn't be very good i you ruined your artwork. But if you definitely need it soon i would let it dry for at least an hour. I hope I really helped.
Watercolor or acrylic? As I recall acrylics if not too thick can be handled in less than an hour, Watercolors will depend on how long it takes for the paper to dry.
Water colour do not normally take long to dry. But just to be safe i personaly wait about an hour before touching it.
