it is a 2001 Montero Sport 4x4 with steel rims and disc brakes. I spray painted the wheels black and now they are making a hiss noise when driving, when brakes are stepped on they sound louder, NOT VERY LOUD THOUGH, cant hear them unless the windows are down and brakes feel fine....
I sprayed a high pressure hose at the brakes but didnt stop the noise.
The noise isnt constant but is most of the time...
ANYONE know whats going on or how to fix?How to FIX? spray paint on car wheels, now hiss squeak when driving, loud when disc brakes are pressed. help!?
Since it started after you spray painted the wheels, I would lean toward thinking that might have started the problem. Did u leave the wheels on and do they have slots, holes. etc. in them where the paint could have gotten on the rotors? If so, maybe they got considerable paint on them and then when u applied the brakes the paint is now built up on the pads. I would pull the pads on a wheel and check that first. How to FIX? spray paint on car wheels, now hiss squeak when driving, loud when disc brakes are pressed. help!?
get your rotors turned.
