I have a 92 firebird, which is blue, but I would like to get it painted black. I know that it costs MUCH more than just having it repainted, but im just trying to find out what to expect.How much does it cost to get your car painted a different color?

A quality paint job is not cheap. I would not recommend painting your car in a different color as it lowers the value of the car.
Usually you can get it done for around $1,000 at most any shop, but it is also dependent on how much rust is on the body, and if you want the body work done. Maaco is real cheap like 2-300, but you have to tape it all off yourself because they don't do it and if you don't, be prepared for over spray!
