How much would it cost to get my truck painted and the interior changed?

I own a 2001 Jeep Cherokee and I don't like it's ugly green color. I want it to be painted Black. I don't want anything special...just a simple paint job. I also want simple grey interior. And my brother doesn't know how much it would cost so I'm asking you guys! Please helpHow much would it cost to get my truck painted and the interior changed?
Ok black is the cheapist paint so you're off to a good start,it all depends if you want the inside of the doors painted also. And any green that is anywhere, like under the hood and under carage, now if you want the whole 9 yards done and the body has no rust to start with,i would charge you $2700,if you wanted the body done only,$2000,+it all depends on the body shop you take it to,alot of my costomers buy the paint and bring it in,otherwise it's gonna be more expensive, but some shops dont do that so ask 1st,and be sure you buy the correct primer or the paint will peal after a yr or so.As far as the interior goes i'm not sure on that. How much would it cost to get my truck painted and the interior changed?
To do it RIGHT? Either thousands of dollars or dozens of hours. Your choice.

You could get a shitty paint job that won't hold up and will destroy the value of the truck (not an issue if he's keeping it forever), but I doubt you want to do that.

So you can pay a boatload of money (how big a boat depends on how much prep work and repair needs to be done...if you do more of it yourself, you'll save) to have professionals paint it for you.

Or you can build a paint booth or thoroughly clean your garage, then use the well-documented roller method...or get a compressor and a paint gun, and paint the car yourself. This will cost you anywhere from fifty bucks to a couple hundred dollars, but it will take a lot of time (particularly the roller method)

Unless you're doing a full restoration, the CORRECT way to get a car in the color you want is to buy it in the color you want.

Oh, and the upholstery will cost another boatload of money, unless you can locate a donor car.
I think from the answers you are getting a pretty good idea of how much of a change you are really asking for. Unless you totally love this vehicle, you would be better off buying one with the colors that you prefer.

A nice paint job and swapping an interior is an expensive proposition. If your Cherokee is in really good condition, you might want to start checking in your local area for a vehicle with the colors you like. You might even end up buying one for a good price and selling yours for more money.

Good luck with your search.
Cost varies for paint jobs...

A simple paint job will run you a few hundred from a place like Maaco. Just expect to get what you pay for... a $400 job may not last as long as you'd wish. Expect to pay $300-1000 depending on paint and quality.

I'm not sure about reupholster costs.
