Okay so when I have a picture on Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 and erase part of the picture with the background eraser, and then I save the picture on Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8. But then I cannot upload that picture on photobucket because of the file type. If I copy the Jasc Paint photo and paste it into the program paint and then save it, it doesn't carry over the background eraser, the parts I erased go to white, but I need the background erased! Help!Help! Answer if you know how to use Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8. Read details!?
Jasc should have some option to save the file as a .gif (to preserve the transparency of the background) or to ';save for web'; in Adobe Photoshop terminology.Help! Answer if you know how to use Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8. Read details!?
In PSP 8 you can ';save as file type'; in the save dialog box.
Choose ';jpg'; or ';png';.
png will support transparency.
Don't choose .gif unless your image is very simple colour. .gif ony supports a 256 colour pallete.
Either of those formats will upload to photobucket.
Files with the extension .psp are only compatible with paint shop pro - and it will easily save as a jpg/png/gif - so do that.
