Hey guys I need help on how to mix with water color paint.Because in class I'm painting and we have only red, blue, yellow, white, and black water color paint and I don't know what color to mix makes GRAY,BEIGE,YELLOW(darker value shade, lower intensity),BLUE(lighter value tint, darker value shade, lower intensity),RED(lighter value tint, darker value shade, lower intensity)How to mix color with watercolor paint?
You have all the primary colors so you are pretty good.
You should know your basics such as yellow and blue makes green, blue and red makes purple, yellow and red makes orange, etc. First link will explain it better.
Then with white you can lighten, and with black you can add to make the color darker (as in shading).
Then just mix with water. How to mix color with watercolor paint?
To lighten colors, just use more water. Very very little paint and water will decrease the intensity. For darker, obviously use more paint, but when you actually want to change the hue, you have to get foxy. I work mostly with acrylics, but I do watercolors as well... What I do is in a separate dish, put the TINIEST bit of black, and then add your color. I mean seriously, the smallest bit of black (and white) goes a long way, so you barely need any at all.
im doing the same.. haha.. so youre gonna get a pallet and put some water on it.. then youre gonna wet the brush n get paint and add it 2 the water on the pallet.. now the order of how u put the paint WILL matter.. so try both first
