We neglected to get a back splash for our cooking area and now its time to move out and we need to fix the wall. We are trying to remedy the solution without re-painting, but I am open to suggegtions pertaining to how I might repaint the wall and make sure the stains are gone.Does anyone know how to get grease stains out of a painted wall?

I use Mr Mean Green u can buy it at walmart for like 4 bucks it should work! if not watch the Queen of Clean on DIY she shows great tips otherwise you might be screwed:( otherwise an inexpensive thingy (im an interior decorator) go to goodwill or secondhand stores buy a bunch of colorful plates and break them make a mosaic backsplash and grout (fast drying one) all under 20 bucks good luck and let me know how it turned out!
Use Kilz sealer primer they have a couple of different types. Your local hardware store should have an assortment of these sealers.
Bulls Eye primer will cover any stain
Try gasoline. First on a small, hidden surface and in small quantities.
try the Mr. Clean eraser, it has worked on everything that I tried it on. You could also use 409 cleaner, but that might make it so you have to do the all the walls too.
